Several years ago, my friend Luke asked me to make him an apple pie. He bought the ingredients, I baked the pie and we invited our friends over to enjoy it. That Tuesday night turned into gatherings every Tuesday night for the next 6 months, experimenting each week with a new pie recipe. Since the group's split in 2007, I have continued working on my own pie recipes, striving for new and unique combinations of ingredients for both savory and sweet pies.
